Spoken Word Poets You Should Know
“Daddy’s Parking Lot Sermon” — Shira Erlichman
Note: I attended a writing workshop led by Andrea Gibson this week and she shared a series of poems with us from other artists. Following each poem we would discuss how we felt. Raw. Honest. Immediate. After the discussion, we would write for 4-5 minutes.
Following the reading Erlichman’s poem, Andrea asked us to create a list of “Don’ts” and “Dos.”
Tumblr Family, I now pass this to you. Happy creation. -Rebecca
If you enjoy Shira Erlichman’s above poem, I recommend “Six Tips for Straight Girls.”
